Together We Hope

After a weekend full of food, friends, Bailey's, reunions, and more food, we are back in action!

Read on for an update on Maya Escobar, our favorite StlouJew artist.

It was election day, Maya was waiting in some of the longer lines, surrounded by eager, hopeful voters. She wanted to capture the environment and engage those around her. Maya and Carianne Noga, her colleague and frequent collaborator had the idea to take a bunch of tags and let people write their hopes on them. The tags were put on display for all to see.

Out of this spur-of-the-moment project came togetherwehope.com a simple site that allows people to write their hopes, immediate or long term, material, spiritual, idealistic or realistic.

The project has already started to take off, with an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Maya and Carianne will be turning the tags into a public art installation in front of the University City Post Office, so hit up togetherwehope.com while there is still time and ensure that your hopes are heard.
